Established since 1996 The United States Slavery Museum Project has worked continuously towards the completion of three main objectives:
To Establish a permanent museum in our nation's capital to reflect and remember the issue of slavery in the United States.
To establish an educational fellowship for historical and contemporary scholarship, study and research on the subject of slavery throughout the world.
To establish a consortium of archive systems across the globe designed to facilitate heritage and ancestral research for the descendants of the African Diaspora.
